Toshiba to enter Japan's Blu-ray market after withdrawal from HD

TOKYO, Japan - Two presenters show Toshiba Corp.'s models of Blu-ray disc recorders and a player in Tokyo on Jan. 14, 2009. The company said the same day it will release the Blu-ray disc products in mid-February, entering the Japanese Blu-ray disc market for the first time since withdrawing from the HD DVD business following its loss in the battle to become the standard for next-generation DVDs.
