Kyoto public transport council encouraging train, bus tours
NAGOYA, Japan - A traditional Japanese ''maiko'' entertainer from Kyoto (L) hands out leaflets on autumn sightseeing in the city to women at JR Nagoya station in Aichi Prefecture on Nov. 7, encouraging them to tour the ancient capital of Japan by train and bus. The campaign is being sponsored by a Kyoto public transport council comprised of public train and bus companies operating services to and from Kyoto. The council said many Aichi residents travel to Kyoto by car. (Kyodo)
