Destroyer primary cause of collision with boat: tribunal
YOKOHAMA, Japan - Ken Funato, then the skipper of the Maritime Self-Defense Force destroyer Atago involved in a fatal collision with fishing boat Seitoku Maru in February last year, offers an apology during a news conference at the Yokohama Marine Accident Tribunal on Jan. 22. He made the apology after the tribunal determined that the destroyer was the main cause of the collision off Chiba Prefecture. (Kyodo)
