Japan, China historians to open 1st round of talks on history
BEIJING, China - Historians from Japan and China will open the first round of talks in Beijing on Dec. 26 in a bid to find common ground on Japanese-Chinese history, a deep thorn in bilateral ties. The Japanese and Chinese governments have agreed to release the historians' findings by 2008.
