Tsunami turns Aceh more religious, but sharia outrages many
ULEE LHEUE, Indonesia - On Dec. 3, 2009, a young couple, panicky, tries to take a distance when the so-called sharia police, the morality police, approached them on a rocky beach in Ulee Lheue in the Indonesian province of Aceh where they were apparently planning to enjoy the sunset. In Islam, a couple who are not married, nor brother and sister are not allowed to be together by themselves. (Kyodo)
