52 killed, over 400 missing in floods in Indonesia's Aceh
ARAS SEMBILAN, Indonesia - The scene of destruction on Dec. 27 in Aras Sembilan, one of the worst hit villages in Aceh where almost all of the 54 homes of 210 people were destroyed by flooding from rain-fed rivers. The floods killed about 52 people and left more than 400 people missing in Aceh, according to official estimates and eyewitness accounts (Kyodo)
