Hokuriku Electric Power, Fukui Univ. develop electric bus
TOYAMA, Japan - Photo shows a small bus powered by a high-performance lithium-ion battery jointly developed by Hokuriku Electric Power Co. and Fukui University. The 480-kilogram lithium-ion battery produces a far greater performance as well as being lighter in weight than conventional ones. The power company said on Jan. 24 that the bus put to a one-month test run from in the Sea of Japan coastal city of Toyama. (Kyodo)
