Bean-throwing event held on top of Osaka's Tsutenkaku Tower
OSAKA, Japan - Former Japan soccer player Hiroaki Morishima (below) and others throw peanuts from the top of Osaka's Tsutenkaku Tower, a symbol of the western Japanese city, on Feb. 1, two days before the lunar calendar ''setsubun'' which heralds the arrival of spring. While scattering the peanuts, they called to drive out evil and invite good luck. (Kyodo)
