Court rejects appeal over fatal car accident caused in police ch
SENDAI, Japan - Plaintiffs walk to the Sendai High Court on Feb. 27. The court upheld a lower court ruling and rejected the 135 million yen damages suit filed against Iwate Prefecture by the bereaved families of a couple who were killed in 1999 when a car chased by the prefectural police crashed into their car.
