Hundreds of millions switch off lights for Earth Hour
TOKYO, Japan - Tokyo Tower in Tokyo's Minato Ward goes dark at 8:30 p.m. as a record-breaking 125 countries are participating in or plan to take part in this year's Earth Hour, which sees citizens, companies and governments switch off their lights for one hour at 8:30 p.m. on March 27, 2010. Landmarks such as China's Forbidden City, New York's Empire State Building and the Eiffel Tower in Paris are also taking part in the event. (Kyodo)
