Tokyo launches 87 community safety centers staffed by ex-cops

TOKYO, Japan - A newly established community safety center staffed by former police officers in Minato Ward, Tokyo. A total of 87 such safety centers opened on April 1 in Tokyo with 182 former officers of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department stationed there to help ensure safety in local areas. (Kyodo)
