Taiwan president-elect announces key Cabinet posts
TAIPEI, Taiwan - Taiwan's President-elect Ma Ying-jeou speaks during a news conference in Taipei on April 14. Ma said he has appointed Liu Chao-Shiuan, president of Soochow University in Taipei, as premier, while Chiang Ping-kun, vice chairman of Ma's Nationalist Party (KMT), will become chairman of the Straits Exchange Foundation.
