At least 70 dead, hundreds injured in China train collision
BEIJING, China - At least 70 people were killed and hundreds injured in a collision involving two trains in China's eastern province of Shandong on April 28, the official Xinhua News Agency reported. Photo shows derailed train cars after the collision in the city of Zibo. The accident happened when a high-speed passenger train traveling from Beijing to the summer resort of Qingdao derailed into the path of another train traveling from the city of Yantai in Shandong to Xuzhou in neighboring Jiangsu Province, according to the report.
