Korean trains cross military line for 1st time in over 50 years
SEOUL, South Korea - North and South Korean trains crossed the military demarcation line for the first time in more than half a century May 17, a symbolic move toward reconciliation on the Korean Peninsula. Photo shows a train heading for the military demarcation line after leaving S. Korea's Munsan station to run on a 27.3-kilometer line to North's Kaesong station in trial runs of reconnected cross-border railways, using two rail links that were severed during the 1950-1953 Korean War.
