G-8, emerging economies to sign pact for new energy-saving body

ROME, Italy - The Group of Eight nations open a two-day energy minister meeting in Rome on May 24. The G-8 nations and several emerging economies will sign an agreement the same day on establishing a new international organization for energy efficiency as part of efforts to fight against global warming.
