Music festival held in Hanoi to mark Japan-Vietnam diplomatic tie

HANOI, Vietnam - Japanese singer Ryotaro Sugi (2nd from R) joins other Japanese and Vietnamese artists to perform at a music festival held at the Vietnamese National Assembly on May 24 as part of events to mark the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Japan and Vietnam. Sugi, who was named special Japan-Vietnam ambassador in April, has used his own resources to help run an orphanage, operate a Japanese language school and finance other charitable work in Vietnam over the past 20 years.
