S. Korea launches group to promote national food globally

SEOUL, South Korea - Kim Yoon Ok (C), the wife of South Korean President Lee Myung Bak, and actor Bae Yong Joon (R) take part in a ceremony in Seoul on May 4 to launch a group aiming to make South Korean food one of the world's five major cuisines by 2017. Kim will back the group as ''honorary chairperson,'' which comprises cultural and entertainment personnel, scholars and agricultural experts. (Kyodo)
