'Cherry blossom front' arrives in Hokkaido
HAKODATE, Japan - People view cherry blossoms at Goryokaku, Hakodate, on the southern tip of Japan's northernmost main island of Hokkaido. The local metrological observatory said May 7 the area's cherry trees have begun blooming, four days later than usual and six later than last year. (Kyodo)
