Moniwa arrives in Germany to join Japan's World Cup squad
FRANKFURT, Germany - Defender Teruyuki Moniwa arrives at Frankfurt airport on June 1 to join Japan's World Cup squad after being called up as a replacement for injured Makoto Tanaka. ''Mako (Tanaka) is obviously disappointed but that is exactly how I felt when I didn't make the final World Cup squad. I won't forget that feeling and will do everything I can to play here,'' Moniwa told reporters at the airport. (Kyodo)
