Injured loggerhead turtle gets artificial limbs
KOBE, Japan - A female loggerhead turtle, which lost parts of its front limbs after being attacked by a shark, gets artificial limbs in Kobe on June 20. The new limbs for the 64.8 kilogram turtle, netted in the Kii waterway off Wakayama Prefecture in June last year, were produced by a Japanese artificial leg maker. (Kyodo)
