Miyagi gov. not to allocate budget for paying police informers
SENDAI, Japan - Miyagi Gov. Shiro Asano said June 24 that he has told the prefectural police he will not allocate a budget to them for use in paying informers from July. Asano voiced concern such funds have been misused, a charge the police deny. (Kyodo)
