Japan, S. Korea end standoff over fishing boat
FUKUOKA, Japan - The chief (L) of South Korea's Ulsan Police Station and the head of the Tsushima office of Japan's Coast Guard shake hands aboard a Korean patrol vessel 80 kilometers off Tsushima Island on June 2 after two countries reached an accord to end a two-day maritime standoff over the control of a Korean fishing boat that rejected inspections by Japanese authorities who suspect it was poaching in Japan's exclusive economic waters.
