Suspect in Akihabara attack shops for knives in Fukui
TOKYO, Japan - Tomohiro Kato, the suspect who unleashed a random killing spree in Akihabara, Tokyo, June 9 that left seven people dead and 10 people injured, is seen at a military goods shop in Fukui on June 6, in a picture taken from a security camera. Police say Kato, 25, from Shizuoka, bought six knives, including a dagger used in the killing spree. According to the police and witnesses, Kato drove a 2-ton truck into pedestrians at a street junction in Akihabara, then got out the vehicle and stabbed more victims with a dagger. (Kyodo)
