Expo showcasing Japanese pop arts, subculture opens in Paris

PARIS, France - Local cosplayers pose for photos at Paris-Nord Villepinte Exhibition Center in a Paris suburb on July 1, 2010, as the largest annual Japan Expo showcasing the country's pop arts and subculture begins for a four-day run. Some 180,000 people are expected to visit the expo, which was first held by Japanese pop culture enthusiasts in France in 2000. (Kyodo)
