S. Korea's Lee orders stern response to Japan's islet claim
SEOUL, Japan - A South Korean man protesting Japan's claim of sovereignty over the disputed Takeshima islands is stopped by security personnel from approaching the Japanese Embassy in Seoul on July 14. South Korean President Lee Myung Bak instructed his government to deal ''sternly and strictly'' with Japan after the Japanese education ministry released a new school teaching guideline on July 14 stating that the disputed islets are Japanese territory.
