Emperor, empress lay wreath at cemetery for American soldiers
HONOLULU, United States - Japanese Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko offer silent prayers at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, known as the Punchbowl, in Honolulu on July 15 after laying a wreath. More than 50,000 U.S. solders, including victims of the Pearl Harbor attack and Japanese-American servicemen who died during World War II, are buried there. (Kyodo)
