S. Koreans protest over Japan's move regarding disputed islets
SEOUL, South Korea - South Korean protesters throw eggs and tomatoes at the Japanese Embassy in Seoul on July 16. They protested over Japan's decision to refer to islets disputed with South Korea in a teaching guideline for junior high schools, making it the first time such an educational document has mentioned the territory. The pair of South Korean-controlled rocky islets in the Sea of Japan is called Dokdo in South Korea and Takeshima in Japan. (Kyodo)
