Black 'eclipse' noodle bowl on sale in Japan

FUKUOKA, Japan - Tomoshi Murakami who runs the noodle shop Azumi Udon Yanagawa shows off the ''eclipse'' noodle bowl at his shop in Yanagawa in the western Japanese prefecture of Fukuoka on July 6. A local group promoting the udon noodle started selling the bowl containing black noodles made from bamboo charcoal, grated yam and a boiled egg July 18, prior to a total eclipse that can be observed near Fukuoka on July 22.
