Murakami gets 2-yr prison term for insider trading
TOKYO, Japan - Yoshiaki Murakami, a former investment fund manager, leaves Tokyo's Kasumigaseki district by car on July 19 after being released on a bond of 700 million yen. Earlier in the day, the Tokyo District Court sentenced Murakami to two years in prison and imposed a fine of 3 million yen and a record 1.15 billion yen surcharge for insider stock trading in 2004 and 2005.
