Hokkaido police inspect Meat Hope plant, reenacts meat fraud

TOMAKOMAI, Japan - His head bowed, Minoru Tanaka, 68, president and founder of Meat Hope Co., walks out from the company's Shiomi meat-processing plant in Tomakomai, Hokkaido on July 3, helping police gather evidence on how the company mixed miscellaneous meat and sold the product as ''ground beef.''
