Trader arrested for allegedly exporting freeze dryer to N. Korea
OSAKA, Japan - Kim Young Gun, the former president of a trading company, was arrested on Aug. 10 on suspicion of illegally exporting a freeze dryer to North Korea via a Taiwan trading house in 2002. Kim admitted during police questioning before his arrest that he was aware the device could be used by a military-related research institution in N. Korea, police sources said. (Kyodo)
