Nissan develops concept car to help prevent drunk driving
TOKYO, Japan - Photo shows a senor on the driver's seat (black part) which detects alcohol odor from a driver. Nissan Motor Co. unveiled on Aug. 3 a concept car equipped with such sensors to reduce drunk driving. When the driver is deemed to have consumed a certain level of alcohol, the transmission will be automatically locked, making it impossible to drive the car, the company said. (Kyodo)
