Tani settles for bronze at Beijing Olympics

BEIJING, China - Japan's Ryoko Tani (top), who lost to Romania's Alina Dumitru in the semifinals, clinched the bronze to give Japan its first medal of the Beijing Olympic Games on Aug. 9 with an ippon victory over Russian Lyudmila Bogdanova in the match for third place. (Kyodo)
