Fujimori taken into custody by Interpol for extradition to Peru
SANTIAGO, Chile - Former Peruvian President Alberto Fujimori, who has been confined to a house outside Santiago, leaves the house on Sept. 22 surrounded by Interpol and Chilean police officials to be extradited to Peru. The move came after the Chilean Supreme Court ruled on Sept. 21 that he should be extradited to Peru to face charges of corruption and abuse of human rights. (Kyodo)
