SHIMADA, Japan - Khaled Reshad (L), from Afghanistan, is an unlikely small-town doctor in Japan. In Shimada, a city of 77,000 people in Shizuoka Prefecture, he has been operating Apollo, a nursing facility for the elderly, along with his hospital, since 1993.
