Respected Chinese writer speaks about U.S. dominance
TOKYO, Japan - Wang Meng, a highly respected Chinese writer who is considered one of the country's literary mainstays, speaks about his worries over U.S. dominance. After his conviction in the 1960s as a ''rightist,'' Wang moved to the Xinjiang Uighur Autonomous Region in China's far west until his rehabilitation in 1979. During this time, he maintained his natural generosity in advocating ''affection and concern for other minority people.''
