Maxam Factory - Mazingarbe
A worker outfit is hanged next to a sign reading "Maxam killed us, factory to sell" and "Liar, Maxam" at the entry of the Maxam factory, on April 1st, 2021, Mazingarbe, France. The Maxam factory in Mazingarbe, in the former mining basin of the Pas-de-Calais, was placed in judicial liquidation on 13 January. This chemical plant was classified as a high threshold Seveso plant that produced ammonium nitrate. The insurance policies are coming to an end and the site is still not secure.
