Protest against the Castres-Toulouse motorway project - Teulat
In Teulat, in the Tarn (France), several hundred opponents of the Toulouse-Castres motorway project gathered and created a fictitious toll, and a human chain on April 17, 2021. This project, registered in 2000 and declared of public utility in 2018, would be an ecological disaster for the local population, a loss of agricultural land, but above all would see the creation of three earthwork quarries (in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Moncabrier and Villeneuve-les-Lavaur, three municipalities located along the route of the future A69). And the cost of the toll mentioned seems to them to represent a real racket, while alternatives for the development of the RN126 would be feasible. Photo by Patrick Batard / ABACAPRESS.COM
