Pope Francis ordains 9 new priests - Vatican
New priest Samuel Piermarini 28-year-old soccer player who turned down a chance to play for the team A.S. Roma during the mass celebrated by pope Francis on Good Shepherd Sunday to ordain nine men to the priesthood for the Diocese of Rome in Saint Peter's basilica, Vatican on April 25, 2021. In 2010 Samuel Piermarini was offered a chance to sign as second goalkeeper for the youth team of A.S. Roma, part of ItalyâÂÂs Serie A soccer league, in the national youth championships.
