Canada Crushes All-Time Heat Records For Second Straight Day
Pablo Pincott sits on a log in the shade at Oppenheimer Park shortly after it was reopened in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, B.C., on Monday, June 28, 2021. The park was closed and fenced off since June 2020 after a homeless encampment that had been growing in size since 2018 was removed. Environment Canada warns the torrid heat wave that has settled over much of Western Canada won't lift for days, although parts of British Columbia and Yukon could see some relief sooner.
