Muslims Celebrate Eid al-Adha - Indonesia
Muslims are seen together in the process of slaughtering sacrificial animals to celebrate Eid al-Adha in Bandarsetia, Deliserdang, North Sumatra, Indonesia on July 20, 2021. It is celebrated ten weeks after Eid al-Fitr upon the conclusion of Hajj, the holy pilgrimage to Mecca. On Eid-al-Adha, Muslims honor the sacrifice of Abraham prophet (peace be upon him) and his son. Muslims believe that both father and son submitted themselves to the Will of God after seeing a dream in which Abraham prophet (peace be upon him) was ordered to sacrifice his son. When he was about to sacrifice his son, God commanded him to stop. Photo by Aditya Sutanta/ABACAPRESS.COM
