Tunisia is seeing a significant increase of tourists at major tourist attractions after the country eased health restrictions on inbound tourists since the beginning of March.
Some of the main attractions in Tunis, such as the Old Town and Sidi Bou Said, have seen a rapid rise in tourists number.
The Tunisian government announced that starting from March 1, people over the age of 18 can enter the country with proof of vaccination and those under 18 do not need any health certificates.
The new wave of the COVID-19 in Tunisia has slowed down significantly since late February. The daily numbers of confirmed cases and infection rates have dropped significantly.
