Northeast China's Jilin Province is stepping up efforts building makeshift hospitals and temporary quarantine facilities to combat the latest resurgence of COVID-19.
The province reported 742 confirmed locally transmitted COVID-19 cases and 415 local asymptomatic carriers Wednesday.
On Tuesday evening, a convention center-turned makeshift hospital with 1,500 beds was put into use in the capital city of Changchun.
