STORYLINE:
Swift measures have been taken in China to contain the latest COVID-19 rebound, with closed management and massive nucleic acid testing rolled out.
Authorities said the Chinese mainland on Monday reported nearly 1,230 locally transmitted COVID-19 cases.
Of the new infections, 1,055 were reported in Jilin and 96 were in Shanghai.
In Jilin, all residents are visited to ensure that nobody in need is left unattended.
