STORYLINE:
Panjin, a coastal wetland city in northeast China's Liaoning Province, has seen a growing number of migratory birds as local ecological restoration efforts paid off.
Since entering the peak migrating season in 2022, more than 190,000 water birds of 43 species have arrived in the city's wetland, according to the local nature reserve.
Some rare birds species, including red-crowned cranes, oriental white storks, and squawk ducks, have also been spotted.
