STORYLINE:
Tunisian President Kais Saied said on Tuesday that his country resolutely opposes any interference in its internal affairs, according to a statement released by the Tunisian Presidential Office.
Local media reports on Tuesday that French and Turkish leaders expressed "concern" over Tunisia's measures to dissolve the parliament.
Saied on Monday called on the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) to be ready to organize the legislative elections slated for Dec. 17 during his meeting with ISIE Vice President Farouk Bouasker.
The Tunisian president announced the dissolution of the Assembly of People's Representatives, or the parliament on March 30, saying that "someone is trying to launch a coup d'etat".
