Turkey's central bank kept its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 14 percent for a fourth straight month on Thursday despite the rising inflation.
The recent increase in inflation has been driven by rising energy costs resulting from geopolitical developments and strong negative supply shocks caused by the rise in global energy, food and agricultural commodity prices, the central bank's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) said.
