STORYLINE:
Chile has applied more than 51 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines in its fight against the virus.
The country reported more than 3.5 million infections and more than 57, 000 deaths since the start of the pandemic, the Ministry of Health reported.
The ministry said 93.61 percent of adults over 18 years of age have been completely vaccinated, while 95.1 percent have received at least one dose.
For the age group of 3 to 17, 84.68 percent have completed the vaccinations, while 91.17 percent of this population have at least received one dose.
In addition, 16,615,143 booster shots have been given out in the South American nation, starting in August 2021.
These booster shots have been administered to those older than 3 years
