New Zealand's Ministry of Health has warned the public to wear masks and stay vigilant during the Easter holidays.
The country reported 13,636 new community cases and 30 deaths of COVID-19 in the past two days, said the ministry in a statement on Saturday.
New Zealand moved from the highest Red settings under the COVID-19 Protection Framework to Orange settings from midnight Wednesday.
According to the latest regulations, there are no indoor capacity limits and the seated and separated rules for hospitality venues lifts under Orange settings, so bars, cafes and restaurants are able to fill up again. However, wearing a face mask is still important and recommended.
