Jose Ramos-Horta, East Timor's president from 2007 to 2012 and a candidate for the 2022 presidential election, shows his inked finger in Dili, East Timor, on April 19, 2022, after casting his vote in a runoff against incumbent President Francisco "Lu Olo" Guterres. The Nobel Peace Prize laureate had a commanding lead in the first round of voting in March but failed to secure more than 50 percent of the vote and avoid the runoff.
